This figurine depicts a saint with head, hands, and feet made of terracotta, a body shaped in straw, and glass eyes—a combination of materials typical of popular devotional production from the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century. The figure has a sober, composed stance, with fabric garments and a posture reminiscent of Franciscan iconographic tradition; however, the absence of identifying attributes prevents a precise association with a specific saint.

The marble base, which adds stability and a touch of refinement, is removable, a useful feature both for display purposes and for potential conservation work. The terracotta and fabric show an aged patina with wear consistent with the piece’s age, visible in light abrasions and surface irregularities. Some fingers have been reconstructed, an intervention documented and compatible with the fragility of the original material. The halo is missing, yet the expressive quality of the face—enhanced by the glass eyes and delicate modeling—retains strong visual and collectible appeal.

This is an ideal piece for enthusiasts of antique sacred art, collectors of devotional terracotta figurines, or anyone seeking a decorative object with historical authenticity and artisanal character.
