This ceramic table clock is an authentic example of 1940s decorative craftsmanship, signed Anker, a renowned German clockmaking brand. The composition depicts two rearing horses pulling a chariot, modelled with great attention to anatomical detail and movement.
The clock is functional but in need of servicing. The glazed ceramic structure, in bronze and gold tones, retains its original charm despite a restoration: one of the horses’ front legs has been carefully reattached, as shown in the images, with a discreet and respectful repair that preserves the shape.
This decorative clock is ideal for classic interiors, studies, living rooms, or spaces furnished in an equestrian or neoclassical style. It is especially appreciated by collectors of vintage clocks, enthusiasts of artistic ceramics, and lovers of retro décor.
