Charming pair of vintage Chinese vases from Nanjing, dating back to the 20th century, made of hand-painted craquelé ceramic. The vases depict traditional scenes with horsemen in period costumes, surrounded by landscapes and banners, with vivid colors and defined lines that evoke the epic spirit of Imperial China.
The body of each vase features the typical antique craquelé glaze, with a richly decorated surface.
One vase is in perfect condition, while the other has suffered a break around the middle that has been carefully restored: the fracture line is only slightly visible in a few spots and does not affect the stability or overall aesthetic of the piece.
